WATCH DOCS Belarus – International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival was founded by Zvyano Association in 2015 and is one of the largest human rights events in Belarus. Annually the festival gathers more than 3 thousand participants to watch world documentary films and discuss pressing problems of society.
The main topics of WATCH DOCS Belarus shows and special events were: Islam in the modern world, digital security, information literacy and populism, teenage addictions, the war in Ukraine and the memory of the Gulag, corruption of multinational companies and the responsibility of business, the environment, the boundaries of state interference in private life , propaganda in the media, the problem of the destruction of monuments in the 21st century, etc.
Despite the priority of live participation in events and open public discussions, in 2020 the festival and VOKA.TV service became partners. Now some films from the festival program can be seen free online for all users from Belarus.
