In November 2013 International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival DOCU DAYS UA initiated by the public association “Zvyano” was held for the first time in Belarus. During the event, there was a discussion on the topic of tolerance and equal treatment of people with disabilities with the participation of the Office for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and FC BATE Borisov.
In 2014, “Zvyano” founded International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival “WATCH DOCS Belarus”, which became the annual large-scale human rights event in Belarus. The festival is essentially a platform for meeting people with different views and for public dialogue about the problems of society. Apart from films screenings, discussions, meetings with directors, heroes and experts, there are exhibitions and flash mobs on the topic of human rights during the festival week. The priority target group of the association is adolescents. We accept applications from schools and other children’s institutions:
– to conduct trainings on human rights;
– to conduct forum theater technique classes;
– to consult on the creation of products on the topic of human rights.
